Departure from Belgrade in the morning hours. Beginning our journey and heading for our first stop on the bank of the Danube River, the archeological site Vinča. This archaeological site reveals the traces of the largest Neolithic settlement in Europe, dating back more than 7,000 years B.C. It is considered to be the cradle of European civilization, the center of a prehistoric culture that spread across the territory of the lower Danube basin, the “Vinča culture“ named after this site as its largest settlement.
Continuing the journey to our next stop, the city of Smederevo. Visit to Its magnificent medieval fortress that was the last capital of independent Serbian state in 15th century and learning about its glorious history in the times of medieval knights and princesses. After the visit, continuing the journey for our next destination, archeological site Viminacium. The city dates back to the 1st century AD, when I was founded by ancient Romans. It was the capital and military camp of the Roman province of Moesia and one of the biggest cities of the time. The visit to archeological park will take you back in time, feeling the authentic ancient ambience.
Continuing the journey along the bank of the Danube River, through the picturesque scenery and by another medieval fortress Ram, and heading for the Silver Lake, one of the most beautiful resorts in the country, famous for the beauty of its beaches and for its clear and fresh water. It got its name after the impression of millions of sparkles on the water surface giving a silver glow to the lake. A local restaurant on the Lake`s shore makes the perfect place for taking a lunch while enjoying the magnificent view of the lake. Enjoying the free time until the departure. Returning to Belgrade in the evening hours.
